Marvel and DC star Nathan Fillion has been confirmed to play Green Lantern in Superman: Legacy. It is exciting to see another notable actor enter the DCU, and it’s worth noting that this isn’t Fillion’s first time portraying one of the iconic members of the Justice League.

While many people may know him for his role as T.D.K. in The Suicide Squad, Fillion has been voicing the character since 2011. His first role was in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, and he has portrayed the character at least 10 times. The last time he played Green Lantern was in 2022, when his role ended in the TV series, Robot Chicken.

It will be interesting to see how Green Lantern fits into Superman: Legacy, especially since James Gunn confirmed on Threads that this Superman story revolves around Clark’s early years at the Daily Planet. Perhaps Green Lantern will be interviewed by Clark, considering he was a former military test pilot turned superhero. Who knows?

Fillion isn’t the only confirmed actor for the upcoming Superman movie, David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan have also been announced as cast members, playing Clark Kent and Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy. Meanwhile, the search for the next Lex Luthor is still ongoing, with Alexander Skarsgård and Bill Skarsgård being the main contenders for the role.

Superman: Legacy is the third installment of DC’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, following Creature Commandos and Waller. If you’re eager to see Fillion’s live-action debut as Green Lantern, Superman: Legacy is scheduled to come out in 2025.
