Is it us, or does saying that a movie will end in a twist kind of ruin the fact that, um, there’s gonna be a twist? Apparently, Taylor Lautner doesn’t think so. Recently speaking with Jay Leno about the upcoming Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Lautner had this to say:
“You know, there’s a very thin line because the fans would freak on us if we changed anything too much…I can confirm there is a twist and I can confirm everybody can find out what it is on Nov. 16.”
Subtle.
Though there are of course millions of Twilight fans out there who can’t wait for this movie to make its way into theatres, for most of us November 16th couldn’t come fast enough for one simple reason: it’s the final entry in the seemingly never-ending Twilight series, all of which have emerged as either mediocre and/or horrible adaptations of mediocre and/or horrible books (sorry, Stephanie, it’s true).
But even that brief period of welcomed silence isn’t sure to last very long, given that these films are likely to get spin-offs galore so that the mundane tribulations of a mundane girl’s love life can continue in a very mundane way. Or, some other girl will get the chance to do it. Lucky.
So, what do you dedicated fans think? Does a twist ending sound good to you?
Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is out (just as Lautner said) on November 16th.
