From the oversaturation of gory sequences to an unnecessary amount of fake blood, there are an endless assortment of horror movies that churn the stomachs of audiences and force even the most gruesome gorehounds to shield their eyes. However, one movie in particular stands out from the rest as one of the most disturbingly gory features from one of the most pointless horror franchises of all time. Of course, we’re talking about 2011’s The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) — which somehow proved to be even more grisly in comparison to its predecessor.
Directed by franchise filmmaker Tom Six, the Dutch-British body horror attracted plenty of controversy in the aftermath of its release and continues to do so even 12 years after its debut. More specifically, even Redditors over on the r/horror platform found it incredibly difficult to point out the film’s strengths — with the majority of commenters proclaiming it as “the most disturbed movie” with a particular “vileness” that resulted in moviegoers throwing up.
We won’t completely state the specific scenes that forced horror fans to hurl, but if you’ve ever heard about the film through the pipeline, then you know each project in the grueling franchise is chock-full of moments that would make any person sick to their stomach. And yet, there’s a bold fascination surrounding the franchise — which has even helped to skyrocket its popularity over the years.
As it turns out, even the most nausea–inducing body horrors will reach its target audience. With that said, it almost feels incredibly likely that a fourth chapter could be made at some point in the future — that is if any studio gives Six the chance to create another horrifying feature.
