The Cannes Film Festival is well on its way, beginning the middle of next week. One of the most exciting films for me, if not the most exciting is Pedro Almodovar‘s new film The Skin I Live In and today a pre-Cannes teaser has been released, which showcases a little scene between actors Antonio Banderas and Elena Anaya.
Almodovar is one of the finest directors we have, and after a decade of going into more melodramas and proving his worth as a man who can do serious dramatic work, The Skin I Live In shows signs of him slipping back into genre. I can handle both sides of Almodovar. I know that some people find his work a little deranged and this film looks no different, judging by the plot synopsis (which you can read below) it sounds mental.
