Tom Felton Talks Rise Of The Apes

The August 5th release date is only a few months away so as expected, more and more news on Rise Of The Apes is trickling out. We saw the trailer a few weeks back and it was quite impressive. I'm excited for it and am eager to hear any new information that's made available. Luckily, Latino Review is bringing us some news today straight from the mouth of actor Tom Felton. Felton, no stranger to villain roles (he's Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films), is taking on the role of a human who mistreats apes in Rise Of The Apes. His mistreatment of them eventually leads to the uprising.

The August 5th release date is only a few months away so as expected, more and more news on Rise Of The Apes is trickling out. We saw the trailer a few weeks back and it was quite impressive. I’m excited for it and am eager to hear any new information that’s made available. Luckily, Latino Review is bringing us some news today straight from the mouth of actor Tom Felton. Felton, no stranger to villain roles (he’s Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films), is taking on the role of a human who mistreats apes. His mistreatment of them eventually leads to the revolt. Check out what Felton had to say below.

“When Caesar, our lead ape, gets too big for James Franco’s character to look after anymore, they have to put him into a facility. Brian Cox, who plays my dad, owns it, and I work there. Needless to say, I’m supposed to be looking after the apes, but I really don’t do that job very well,” he said to MTV News in an interview. “I don’t get on well with them and I’m not that friendly with them. I’m kind of what instigate Caesar’s revolt against humans. Before that, he only knew James Franco’s character. He thought all humans were going to be friendly and nice. It’s through my father and my character that he learns the perils of humanity and how bad we really are. The apes we see are apes, not the ‘Planet of the Apes’ creatures we’ve seen before,” he said.
