Today we got our hands on the first poster, trailer and image for Flight, directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Denzel Washington as a heroic commercial airline pilot.
The film tells the (fictional) story of White Whitaker, a pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every passenger on board. After the crash, Whip is initially hailed as a hero. But, as more details are revealed, questions start to pop up and people begin to wonder who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on the plane?
The trailer gives an intriguing first look at the premise of the movie and though I had my hesitations about the film at first, I must say, I like what I see here. Admittedly, it’s hard to go wrong with Washington in front of the camera. In fact, the same can be said about having Zemeckis behind the camera as well.
So, all things considered, I think Flight is poised to take off (sorry, I had to). The film seems to go beyond the simple concept of Whitaker saving his passengers as it focuses more on the aftermath of it all, which I like to see.

Aside from Washington, Flight will also star John Goodman, Don Cheadle, James Badge Dale, Melissa Leo and Bruce Greenwood. It will hit theatres on November 22nd.
