Michael Bay’s reboot of his hugely successful franchise, Transformers 4, is on the blocks for a complete makeover. Not only has he enlisted an entirely new cast, he’s also given the ‘bots newer, niftier designs. However, there might still be room for a returning cast member. A simple hashtag slip up by Paramount Pictures has revealed that the film may have a guest appearance from Megan Fox.
When Paramount posted another new image onto their Instagram account, of a Lamborghini Aventador, they included the hashtag #MeganFox. Oh dear. Over at Bay’s official forum, one of the moderators commented after Paramount quickly removed the tag:
Someone’s in trouble. It’s gonna be a long week.
The model-turned-actress, whose breakout role was as the love interest in the first Transformers, had a well-publicised bust up with Bay. Comparing the director to Hitler in one specific rant, she did not reprise her role for the third entry with the love interest role going to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Fox fared okay though, as she went on to star in…Jennifer’s Body (alright, it’s not THAT bad.)
The director and actress eventually let bygones be bygones and put the feud behind them. Bay cast Fox in his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot as reporter April O’Neil, which is currently filming. If she does take a small part in Transformers 4, it’ll likely be after that film finishes production.
Should she indeed clamber aboard she’ll be joining Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, T.J. Miller, Nicola Peltz and Jack Raynor. From what Bay has announced about the film, we know it’ll involve a “chase from hell” and a new look for Cybertron.
Transformers 4 is shooting now and is set for release on June 27th, 2014.
