Wakanda And Vormir Share The Limelight In All-New Avengers: Infinity War Concept Art

Celebrated artist Sean Hargreaves Design has shared a series of brand new artwork for Avengers: Infinity War, showcasing Wakanda, Vormir and everything in between.

Between them, Wakanda and Vormir are undoubtedly two of the most important locations for the story of Avengers: Infinity War.

The first is, of course, home to the legendary Black Panther, protector of Wakanda and its fictional utopia. The other is a far-flung planet that soon became Red Skull’s home away from home, given the Phase One Marvel villain was whisked off into space soon after he lay hands on the Tesseract.

It’s a grim fate for the Marvel mega-villain, but his Infinity War cameo came as a welcome surprise for fans, who’d long speculated that the demonic Nazi would make a return. And it arguably arrived at just the right time, given Red Skull was able to inform Thanos and Gamora (and the viewers!) about the tragic red tape surrounding the Soul Stone and its near-limitless power.

The end result is arguably Infinity War‘s most heartbreaking scene, and it’s one that you’ll be able to relive all over again thanks to this never-before-seen concept art shared by Sean Hargreaves (h/t CBM):

There’s also one or two shots of Wakanda, too, including those alien ships sent out by Thanos. Had Hargreaves’ designs seen the warm light of day, it would’ve resulted in a slightly different finale to Infinity War, while the sacrificial perch on Vormir was initially built as more of an altar. If nothing else, it’s another welcome batch of artwork to add to the MCU’s growing collection.

Currently in its sixth week of release, Avengers: Infinity War has amassed an eye-watering total of $1.99 billion, and will likely become the fourth movie to cross $2 billion before its theatrical run comes to a close. Watch this space for more.
