Make no mistake, with little under a month until the movie’s North American bow, Legendary’s marketing campaign is in full swing to trumpet the arrival of Warcraft: The Beginning.
And so, nipping at the heels of today’s stunning set of images, the studio has premiered four clips for Duncan Jones’ tentpole video game adaptation, which are neatly rolled into one reel of footage seen above.
Finding the Alliance and the Horde at odds with one another, it is the destruction of Draenor – home world to the Orc clan – that seeds a bitter and desperate fight for survival in Azeroth, traditionally the home of Warcraft‘s human population. Once those battle lines are drawn, Travis Fimmel’s Lothar (AKA the Lion of Azeroth) rises up for those in Stormwind while Durotan (Toby Kebbell), proud leader of the Orc army, seeks a new home by any means necessary.
In its meandering path to the big screen, Jones has assembled quite the all-star cast to headline Warcraft: The Beginning, including Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, Ben Foster as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, Clancy Brown as Blackhand, Daniel Wu as Gul’Dan and Paula Patton’s Garona.
Warcraft: The Beginning makes its debut overseas on May 25, before Duncan Jones’ CG-laden epic stomps into theaters in North America on June 10.
