A few days ago, the Disneyland version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opened to the public, and fans have been losing their mind over the theme park’s new area ever since. For many, the handful of attractions, restaurants, and rides is the culmination of over 40 years of fandom, and now, longtime franchise enthusiasts can live out their Jedi dreams in a real-world location that’s devoted to all things Star Wars.
Aside from Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – a simulator ride that sees guests pilot the eponymous ship – and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – a dark attraction where parkgoers are caught in a battle between the First Order and the Resistance – there are plenty of other restaurants and shops to explore. Savi’s Workshop allows patrons to build a pricy ($200+) custom lightsaber – which Polygon’s Chris Plante describes as a blending of “a drug deal with a religious experience” – and for eight bucks, you can also try out blue milk… I guess.
If you were lucky enough to attend the official opening of Galaxy’s Edge, you may’ve even caught a glimpse of Brie Larson, star of Captain Marvel. Not only did she show off some of her lightsaber skills, but she was also seen geeking out on camera, jumping up and down while screaming along with the rest of the crowd.

If you’re a big fan of the franchise, you may want to make your way to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge sooner rather than later, as some of the park’s story elements are said to bridge the gap between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. If you can’t visit the west coast anytime soon though, don’t fret – the Disneyworld version is set to open on August 29th in Orlando, Florida.
