When will ‘Dune: Part Two’ be streaming?

Dune: Part Two, one of the most anticipated films of 2024, was released in theaters on March 1st, 2024. The sequel to the six-time Academy Award-winning Dune, based on the Frank Herbert novel of the same name, takes on the second half of the 1965 sci-fi classic.

The first part of Dune made an impressive $433 million at the box office in 2021, and given its Oscar glory and good word-of-mouth with audiences (and a little Timotheé Chalamet fever among the public helps, too), the sequel has only taken desert power to the next level, earning over $700 million in theaters and topping several “best of 2024” lists by critics, thanks to its star-studded cast, storytelling, and IMAX-optimized visuals.

Can I watch Dune: Part Two at home?

Dune: Part Two is now available to stream via VOD (Video on Demand), meaning that the movie is available to watch for home viewing, but only via purchase-tier streamers.

Currently, Dune Part Two is available for rental or purchase on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Microsoft Store, YouTube, iTunes, and most major digital retailers.If you prefer physical media, Dune: Part Two will be available to purchase on Blu-Ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD from May 27th, 2024.

For those who want to watch Dune: Part Two for free, Max (formerly HBO Max) customers are in luck, as Dune and Max are both owned by Warner Bros., meaning the films (as well as the upcoming prequel series and sequel Dune: Messiah) have a seemingly permanent home on the streaming service.

When will I be able to stream Dune: Part Two on Max?

According to Variety, Dune: Part Two will land on Max on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024. The film, like its predecessor, will be available to watch for free, for all Max subscribers. If you’re only a Hulu subscriber, worry not – the two streamers are offering a “Hulu with Max” bundle where Hulu subscribers can also access the HBO app for an extra $15.99.
