Zack Snyder’s Excited To See What James Wan Does With Aquaman

It’s not just the fans who are excited for the pic, either, as Zack Snyder is also anticipating it, it seems. The former architect of the DCEU recently took to social media to share a black and white shot from his cut of Justice League with a caption revealing how hyped he is for Aquaman, saying: “I’m excited to see what James Wan does with this king.”

Working out just where Snyder stands with the DCEU has become pretty fun for fans of late. While it looks certain that Warner Bros. has cut ties with the director after taking issue with his initial cut of the aforementioned tentpole, it seems Snyder’s still proud of his work for the franchise as he’s been revealing easters eggs and deleted scenes from his films on his chosen social media platform, Vero.

That being said, certain posts he’s liked suggest that he holds some grudges with how things turned out, which is fair enough. For instance, he’s poked fun at Superman’s facial hair mishap in Justice League and suggested that he wasn’t happy with Joss Whedon being appointed as his replacement. Whatever the problems he has with WB, it’s clear that Snyder remains a big DC fan and is looking forward to the franchise’s upcoming movies just as much as we are.

Aquaman docks in theaters on December 21st. And for the first time in four years, this Christmas will be completely Star Wars free, as Lucasfilm has angled Solo: A Star Wars Story for release on May 25th.
