Zero Dark Thirty is a film that is shrouded in secrecy. We really haven’t see a whole lot from it and all we really know is that it chronicles “the mission that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden by a Navy SEAL team.”
With a cast that features names like Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, Mark Strong and Jason Clarke, and Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow behind the camera, this one has promise written all over it.
The first trailer revealed next to nothing but today we have a new look at the film and compared to the first one, it’s a gold mine. You may not have been impressed with what we originally saw but rest assured, the footage we get here is very effective. It’s suspenseful, tension-filled and very, very reminiscent of The Hurt Locker. It also includes a good look at most of the main cast, all of whom look great in their roles.
I mean this when I say it, this looks like a truly fascinating picture, one that will likely be a serious awards contender.
Zero Dark Thirty opens on December 19. You can check out the new trailer below.
For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar(R) winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history’s greatest manhunt for the world’s most dangerous man.
