With Mysteryland USA (MLUSA) only a few weeks out, it’s as good a time as any to point out its killer lineup. From promising up-and-comers to time-tested dance music veterans, the second edition of the festival is studded with must-see sets from every shade of the dance music spectrum.
If you’re going to MLUSA this year, make sure to check out the following ten artists:
10) The Martinez Brothers
Having just been signed to Jamie Jones’ label, Hot Creations, these NYC-based DJ/producers have a bright future ahead of them in underground house and techno. Prepare for the Flying Circus stage to close out with proper grooves during their set on the second night of the festival.
9) Beats Antique
The trip-hop trio known as Beats Antique has been a staple of the bass music scene since before the dubstep breakthrough of 2010 and has managed to ride that wave throughout the festival circuit. With a sound that’s uniquely their own, their set is certainly a performance to anticipate.
8) Klingande
Klingande produces the same kind of tropical/deep house as Norwegian superstar Kygo, but arguably with a somewhat wider range. Festivalgoers with an ear for subtlety will surely take something home from his set should they choose to catch it.
7) The M Machine
Even though these electro house masterminds just dropped down from a trio to a duo, their prowess behind the decks cannot be denied. Expect to hear tracks from last year’s Just Like EP, and perhaps one of the title song’s many recent remixes.
6) Nicole Moudaber
The original “other genre,” techno is not historically everyone’s cup of tea – but if it’s yours, chances are you already know about Nicole Moudaber. If you don’t, check her out on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode stage. You won’t be disappointed.
5) Moon Boots
This deep house up-and-comer has toured aggressively as of late. Signed to French Express, he will close out the stage of its namesake on the second evening of the festival.
