The number of statements with the words “postpone” and “indefinitely” as of late spells a grim state of affairs for dance music. Representatives speaking on behalf of EDM icon Avicii have announced in a statement to Billboard that the Swedish DJ/producer has cancelled all of his upcoming tour dates, citing an overloaded summer schedule and prioritizing a “larger tour initiative and a well deserved break.”

This isn’t the first time that Avicii had to cancel all of his tour dates; just last year around almost the exact same time hospitalizations due to acute pancreatitis prompted the “Wake Me Up” producer to take a hiatus from performing until early this year. His management also cites deadline pressures from his upcoming Stories album and the rigors of directing music videos for “Pure Grinding” and “For a Better Day” as contributing factors.

The performances indefinitely postponed by Avicii are as follows:

September 4th – XS at the Encore in Las Vegas

September 5th – Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas

September 13th – Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas

October 6th – Festival Pier in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

October 10th – Fuji-Q Highland in  Fujiyoshida, Japan

October 11th – Fuji-Q Highland in  Fujiyoshida, Japan

October 12th – Maishima Beach in Konohana Ku, Japan

October 30th – XS at the Encore in Las Vegas
