The Army aren't happy.

“REMOVE BTS TAG” is trending on Twitter as members of the Army called out BTS‘ management team, HYBE, along with the producers of Jungkook‘s latest MV, BIGHIT MUSIC. Just a few days ago, Jungkook, who rose to fame as one of BTS’ lead vocalists, released his latest solo “Seven” with a live performance in NYC.

When the single landed on Spotify, however, Army members noticed that BTS was credited for the creation of “Seven,” despite having no involvement in the making of the single. American rapper Latto is credited as the back-up vocalist, whereas actress Han So-hee appears alongside Jungkook in the MV.

In promotional material for “Seven,” before the single dropped, Jungkook addressed how this solo song would elevate his career and make him simply “Jungkook” rather than “BTS’ Jungkook.” He also said that “this is [his] first forward in the spotlight as a solo artist,” so it’s understandable that fans are outraged that his credit as an individual seems to have been revoked.

As some fans have already reported, Jungkook is finally credited as the solo creator of “Seven” as far as the MV is concerned on platforms such as YouTube, but none of Jungkook’s spokespeople have actively campaigned to have the BTS tag removed altogether from Spotify, which is arguably where the song will be streamed the most often.

We Got This Covered will be actively reporting on this issue if Jungkook’s representatives make comment or the issue is resolved, so be sure to check back for updates.
