With nearly 10 years of experience under his belt, Sander van Doorn is widely considered both a musical genius and one of the most influential producers in dance music today. The Dutch DJ has put out two full length studio albums and countless singles and remixes over the years. He’s also headlined the world’s biggest festivals, runs his own record label, Doorn Records, and holds down residencies at some of the hottest clubs in both Europe and North America. When it comes to EDM, it doesn’t get much better than Sander van Doorn.
Currently on his Doorn Records Bus Tour, the producer stopped in Florida last week to play at EDC Orlando, where he put on one hell of a set. Impressive, energetic and exciting, Sander had the crowd in a frenzy, dropping the perfect mix of classics and newer material, along with some unreleased tracks, which we’re really looking forward to.
Before he got on stage, however, I had the chance to sit down with him for an exclusive interview. Friendly and eager to chat, Sander spoke about what music he listened to growing up, working with Marin Garrix and DVBBS on “Gold Skies,” what he doesn’t like about being a DJ and more.
Check out what Sander van Doorn had to say in the video above and enjoy!
