What So Not has teamed up yet again with longtime collaborator George Maple on a new song titled “Buried.” The single and its accompanying music video were released today, and feature Atlanta based rapper Rome Fortune, as well as production assistance from Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s side project THC.
“Buried” features a stunning future-trap production, complete with smoky chord progressions, hard hitting beats and Maple’s alluring vocals. The music video for “Buried” features breathtaking underwater shots of What So Not’s Chris Emerson and George Maple, creating a surreal visual backdrop for the new song.
In a quote about the meaning behind “Buried,” the production forces involved reveal that it discusses a theme of indulging in vice.
We’re all guilty of our vices. Whether a flickering thought or a lifestyle, our obsession with fame, money, sex & power drives a paradox of wonderful & horrible behavior.
What So Not and George Maple previously collaborated on 2015’s “Gemini,” but “Buried” is certainly a next level song for the two artists. Check it out above and let us know what you think by dropping a comment below.
