Following up with the After Life EP released at the end of last year, French producer Tchami is back with a rowdy new single. The future house mainstay’s latest effort is titled “SIAW,” and is named after the late nineties rap song “Step Into A World” by KRS-One, which is sampled throughout.
“SIAW” sees Tchami blending his usual future house style with rattling bass house riffs. The new track opens with a steady four on the floor lead in, as muted bass tones are gradually layered in. Tchami then breaks things down, cutting out the drums as haunting female vocal samples courtesy of the song’s namesake fill the mix alongside dark atmospheric sounds. “SIAW” then explodes into electrifying drops, with rhythmic, distorted basslines punctuated by shuffling hi-hats and hard hitting kicks.
All in all, “SIAW” is an awesome dancefloor cut that expands the scope of Tchami‘s production prowess. Best of all, he’s offered it up as a free download, which can be found on his SoundCloud page.
