Warrant Issued For Suge Knight’s Arrest

A $40,000 bench warrant has been issued for Suge's arrest after failing to appear in court on November 23rd in L.A. according to TMZ. While Suge is frequently in trouble with the law for mostly violent offenses, he was only due in court this time to address charges of driving with a suspended license and running a stop sign on September 23rd. These seemingly normal offenses baffle me as a reason to be on the run.

Suge Knight is best known as the co-founder of Death Row Records. In the 90’s, Death Row was a hugely successful rap record company that housed many West coast artists such as Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound (Kurupt and Daz Dillinger). Knight has also been alleged by former associates that he was involved in the deaths of both Tupac Shakur and his rap rival, the Notorious B.I.G., though no evidence has ever surfaced.
