Among all the love stories in the debut season of Love Is Blind: UK, one couple stood out for their uncertain but satisfying journey: Nicole Stevens and Benaiah Grunewald Brydie. Sure, they didn’t leave the pods engaged, but that didn’t matter much in the end, especially since theirs was the most natural pair of “I do’s” this season.
The cast members spilled more tea than anyone could handle at the reunion. But it hasn’t ended there. Now that the show is over, more truth bombs have been dropped during the cast’s media rounds. For example, Nicole and Benaiah have since shared that they’re not a part of the cast’s Whatsapp group chat any longer.
Why did Nicole and Benaiah leave the cast’s WhatsApp chat?
Fan-favorite couple Nicole and Benaiah recently sat down with Aimee Vivian of Capital FM UK to discuss life after Love is Blind, their time on the show, and the dramatic reunion episode. The couple also shared their feelings on how their relationship was portrayed on screen, and what life has been like since Love is Blind.
The question of whether there was a cast WhatsApp chat came up, and Benaiah answered, saying: “There was a big one which I’m no longer part of, but there is one with the final six couples.” When asked why he was no longer in the group, he cheekily said, “There’s maybe a couple of people in there that I don’t see eye to eye.” Nicole added, “There are a lot of things that are said that I think are sometimes below the belt.” Whether or not this was referring to their fellow cast member, Sam, who Nicole was very briefly engaged to, was not explicitly shared, but it was heavily implied.
Sam showed up at the reunion where he finally gave Nicole the apology she deserved, but she was pretty over it by then. Nicole confirmed in the interview that she and Benaiah rarely ever think about Sam, although reliving the experience through the reunion did bring back some hurt feelings.
