10) The Bat-Family
We’re not including Batman on this list, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention his ever-growing group of proteges, sidekicks and crimefighting partners. As we could fill this list two times over with members of the Bat-family, we’re just going to lump them together into one.
Under the tough but effective tutelage of the Dark Knight, the likes of Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, Jason Todd, Stephanie Brown, Carrie Kelly and many more have become incredibly proficient crimefighters, despite their total lack of superpowers. At most, many of them have proficient martial arts or gymnastic skills.
Several members of the Bat-family have even flown the coup – or Bat-Cave – to step outside of Batman’s shadow and become their own superheroes. Most notably, Grayson became Nightwing and operated as the protector of neighbouring city Bludhaven.
While not a part of the Bat-family, as such, Kate Kane AKA Batwoman deserves a mention as well for living up to the Bat-moniker by being an awesome vigilante in her own right.
