One of the first words you think of when you think about Ariana Grande’s career is “prolific.” The pop star is already three full-lengths deep in her brief, yet illustrious career, so it only makes sense that her next album happens … by accident? According to some Snapchat clips from the artist, that may be how LP number four comes into fruition.
Grande talks (in the high pitched voice, deer-faced filter, of course) about new music in a string of updates on her story, stating that she’s “almost done” with an album that she “didn’t mean to make,” but she does have a lot of songs that she “really, really likes.” The singer later clarified in a non-filtered update that she didn’t mean to make anyone “too excited” or to have anyone “sh-t their pants,”’ but it might be a little too late on that one. You can check out the clips here.
Maybe Grande jumped the gun a bit on hyping new material – especially because her latest single, “Side To Side,” is rising by the day on pop radio, and she’s also got a huge headlining tour set for early next year. Either way, it’s nice to know that new music has materialized to the point that Ariana Grande is comfortable referring to it as an album, which means that hopefully the follow-up to Dangerous Woman won’t be too far off.
