Today, Netflix announced the return of The Hunger Games movies to the service for the next month. The four films released to date show a strong woman leading a group to triumph over evil, but this did not carry through to the production, as actress Jenna Malone has revealed she was assaulted by someone on set and has had to work very hard to overcome the incident since then.

The 38-year-old broke the news in the above Instagram post. She says she was sexually assaulted by someone she worked with (though she does not reveal a name) and adds she is here for anyone who needs to talk and wants a safe space to be heard. In the replies, several fan accounts for the series offer their love and support to the Johanna Mason portrayer and fellow franchise veteran Elena Sanchez (Cecelia) took the time to post the prayer emoji and a heart to express her care for her former series co-worker. No one has mentioned the development on the Netflix tweet about the films and series lead Jennifer Lawrence has not commented yet.

If you or someone you know is struggling with this issue, the National Sexual Assault Hotline is available at 1-800-656-4673 24/7. Those outside of the United States can find local support in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
