Axwell /\ Ingrosso‘s new song stands a pretty decent chance of becoming one of 2016’s festival anthems – and just in case it doesn’t, they’ve accompanied it with visuals that are even harder to forget. The official music video for “Thinking About You” doesn’t tell a story as much as it plays out like a surreal fever dream.
The track itself is nothing but raw, unfiltered hook. An infectious melody that blends synths with instrumentals underscores a vocal exchange between male and female singers before a beautifully simple synth lead arrives. As with much of the electronic music gaining traction this year, it effectively blends elements of the main stage formula with less obtrusive styles.
As for the video, it follows a fanciful plot centered around Axwell /\ Ingrosso losing their faces. They appear in place of the faces of random people, and at one point – spoiler alert, I guess – on a woman’s bare breasts.
You can most certainly expect to hear innumerable edits of Axwell /\ Ingrosso‘s “Thinking About You” in countless DJ sets this summer, so you’d best get familiar with it now by checking out the video above.
