Borgeous And Ryos’ Machi Is Progressive House Euphoria

EDM’s new kid on the block is, like, literally a kid. It’s only been a year since the name Ryos hit the scene, and at only 17 years of age he’s teamed up with Borgeous on “Machi,” his very first Spinnin’ Records release.

“Machi” is decidedly uncharacteristic of the big room house sound exhibited in the rest of Borgeous’ releases – but then again, he’s only ever released collaborations with artists like DVBBS and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (who themselves are each rumored to rely heavily on ghost producers), so who even knows what he sounds like on his own?

Decidedly melodic, Borgeous’ joint effort with Ryos showcases the kind of video-gamey charm that will lodge it firmly in your mind for the rest of the week while still featuring enough progressive house flair to ensure it play at the main stages of the few festivals that have yet to take place as the season draws to a close.

Perhaps Ryos is Spinnin’ Records’ answer to their recent split with Martin Garrix. After all, the latter artist was also 17 when he released “Animals” through Spinnin’ – and recently made a jab of his own at the label.

Either way, following the official release of he and Borgeous’ “Machi” on September 25th, we look forward to hearing more music from Ryos in the months to follow and will share it with you as he makes it available.
