Although almost all of us will never have the chance to win Olympic gold in swimming like Michael Phelps, we can attempt to win similar championships in digital space. Do so in Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, which is heading towards the XBOX 360 and its Kinect peripheral, with an estimated fall release window.
Its publisher, 505 Games, has released a new preview video. Within its commercial-like confines, gamers are shown exactly which moves they’ll need to master in order to step atop the podium. Michael Phelps himself appears as a tutorial master in the preview, demoing the moves himself.

What better way to get a leg up on your swimming competition than by getting a one-on-one lesson from the greatest swimmer the world has ever known? 505 Games today released a brand new video for Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, its upcoming video game coming exclusively to the Kinect for Xbox 360 later this fall.
In the video, Michael will walk you through each move you’ll need to master to go for the gold. Start off by hyping up the crowd to increase your power and speed later in the race. Timing is key as you’ll have to match your crouch and jump as close to the starting gun as possible to maximize your disance and speed off the blocks. Synch your strokes up for the duration of the race and power through the turn to explode down the home stretch and reach for the finishi line!
For the first time ever, Michael Phelps: Push the Limit brings the fun, fitness and excitement of head-to-head swimming to your Kinect. With innovative, motion-controlled gameplay technology, you can turn your living room into a king-sized pool – big enough for the whole family or a bunch of friends! Splash into casual fun match-ups against friends and family, or dive deeper and immerse yourself in the world of competitive swimming in Career Mode, and climb through the ranks for a chance to take on one of the world’s greatest athletes: Michael Phelps, himself.
