Chocolate Puma Bring The Bass Wobbles With “Popatron”

It's hard to hate on bass house - especially when the track in question brings something new to the table. Chocolate Puma have secured their spot as one of the leading purveyors of the up-and-coming genre, and their latest track, "Popatron," makes for an inspired contribution to their growing legacy.

Featuring percussive elements that give it the feel of an electro house track, “Popatron” also has a noisier wobble in its arrangement than what you might expect from a run-of-the-mill bass house track. The result is a sound tailored more for the main stage than an after hours lounge despite having been built around the overall structure of a four-four track.

Seeing as how their last original was a G house track that they put together with Tommie Sunshine two months ago, perhaps their new effort indicates a slight tweak in creative direction for the Dutch duo.

Chocolate Puma‘s “Popatron” will be available through Spinnin’ Deep on December 7th. Check out the sample above and tell us what you think by making a trip down to the comments section below.
