Cool New Variant Covers For Marvel’s Upcoming Bullseye Series Revealed

It's been an interesting few years for Daredevil villain Bullseye. After seemingly being killed by the Man Without Fear during the Shadowland storyline, he returned in an iron lung intent on ruining Matt Murdock's life. That culminated with the assassin who never misses left blind and horribly scarred, but he was somehow back to normal by the time Secret Wars rolled around.

It’s been an interesting few years for Daredevil villain Bullseye. After seemingly being killed by the Man Without Fear during the Shadowland storyline, he returned in an iron lung intent on ruining Matt Murdock’s life. That culminated with the assassin who never misses left blind and horribly scarred, but he was somehow back to normal by the time Secret Wars rolled around.

Next month, Bullseye will return in a series of his own, but rather than focusing on his rivalry with Daredevil, it’s set to revolve around what he gets up to in his own time. Now, Marvel has unveiled three brand new variant covers for the comic by an amazing line-up of artists including Skottie Young, Chris Stevens, and John Tyler Christopher.

For more on what to expect from Bullseye (which will be written by Ed Brisson and Marv Wolfman with art by Guillermo Sanna and Alec Morgan) here’s the solicitation text:

“Daredevil, Elektra, Punisher… You name ’em, Bullseye beat ’em. But that was just business… This? This is pleasure. What does the world’s greatest assassin do for fun? Find out what Bullseye gets involved in for laughs in this deadly first issue, way down in South America!”

This isn’t the villain’s first comic book series, but it’s certainly an interesting choice by Marvel to put the spotlight on the character in this way. With any luck, it means that we’ll see Bullseye return to live-action in the next season of Daredevil on Netflix. If that’s the case, and you’d like a refresher on the character before the show comes back, then this comic would probably be a good place to start.
