The viral TikTok sensation Corn Kid reached a new level of peak corn today when he went on The Drew Barrymore Show and made what else, Cornucopias.
If you’re somehow not a corn person and live under a rock with no TikTok, then you might not know about Tariq the Corn Kid. There’s corn all over the site thanks to a fun interview with a the young kid who just simply can’t get enough corn.
The original video went crazy viral and then the song and remixes started pouring in. Tariq appeared on the talk show with his usual infectious charm and Barrymore explained to him that people love handmade gifts the most during the holiday season, so they should make one.
Tariq was given a box to stand on situated behind a table full of crafts next to Barrymore and Lindsey Peers from The Craft Studio in New York.
“We can’t talk about corn on this show without talking about the corn kid himself,” Barrymore said to thunderous applause. “I’m ready to craft,” the kid said. “I was born to craft.” He’s a natural.
Over the course of the segment the corn kid continues to prove why he caught the nation’s attention. At one point he takes control and tells the adults what they’re going to do next, which could be annoying if it was anyone else. Then the gratitude talk begins.
“Tariq what are you grateful for?” Barrymore asks. “I am grateful for Drew and everybody here,” he said.
You can’t write stuff this adorable! Barrymore then tells everyone what she’s grateful for.
“I will say that I’m grateful for Tariq because I have really gotten to know your mom and I spent quite a bit of time with her, and I had such a deep connection with you.” As she says it the corn kid gives her an appreciative hug. “I think you’re such a gift to this world.”
