Jay Hardway has teamed up with Canadian duo DVBBS for a new big room banger titled “Voodoo,” which is set to drop on March 2nd courtesy of Spinnin Records.
As the song begins, a spooky, melodic intro eases us in as it builds up in typical Hardway fashion. Then, before we know it, we’re headed into a complex break before finally arriving at the signature DVBBS drop. At this point, the track really lets loose and turns into an absolute monster, ensuring its status as a main stage favorite this festival season.
When asked how the collaboration came about, DVBBS said the following:
“The entire DJ community is like a big family. We met each other through some festivals and got along very well. We decided to collaborate and sat down in Jay’s studio in Amsterdam last summer, when we worked on the first ideas for Voodoo. About a month ago Chris flew to Amsterdam to finish it off with Jay-we’re very happy with the result.”
A couple of people have noted that “Voodoo” has some Martin Garrix influence in it, but the producer has denied being involved in the collaboration. Still, it does sound a bit like something that would come from his wheelhouse. Either way, it’s another quality release from Spinnin Records and we can’t wait to get our hands on it next week.
