If you know me, or even if you pay close enough attention to what I write about, you know how music is one of my most important aspects when it comes to gaming. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that something like Video Games LIVE, a traveling concert with a focus on video game music, is something I support furiously. This show, however, is special.
If you happen to be in the Chicago area, Video Games LIVE is coming to the historic Arcada Theater in St. Charles, IL, which happens to be right in my own backyard, and roughly 45 minutes away from Chicago. It all goes down on March 23, when the show will wheel into town to give its attendants the experience of a lifetime. This is coming from someone who’s seen the show twice, owns both albums, the Blu-ray, and probably a t-shirt around here somewhere.
Two big things make this show a big deal. The first, Video Games LIVE has never played at a venue this small. Typically reserved for arenas upwards of 2500-3000 people, the Arcada seats only 880. This means ticket prices will be low and every seat in the house will be a fantastic spot.
The second reason is my own involvement. I’m proud to say that co-founder and CEO of the show, Tommy Tallarico, has asked me to perform on-stage on the only thing I’m more passionate about than gaming: my guitar. Tommy and myself will take the stage to team up on a song or two, and I’ll have a solo segment of my own. I don’t want to give away what I’ve got planned, but all I’ll say is that it’s awesome, metal, brutal, and a little…Hellish.
The official event page on Facebook is here. Tickets will go up for pre-sale on Video Games LIVE‘s official Facebook page on February 13. I advise you get your tickets quickly. A smaller venue means tickets will go quicker than normal.
I hope you guys will be able to make it. I’ll be certain to make it as special a night for you as it will be for me!

The best way to describe Video Games Live?
