Grandtheft‘s Major Lazer collaboration, “Number One,” made for a special landmark in the Montreal DJ/producer’s releases. He’s not shy about letting the world know, either, as he’s given his European tour the same name.
The “Number One” European Tour is comprised of seven performances; those of Milan, London, Frankfurt and Munich have already recently taken place. After a five-week break, the tour will resume with a gig at the nightclub Kastellnatt in Tønsberg, Norway on July 15th.
Aside from “Number One,” Grandtheft preceded the tour with a remix series for his 2015 album, Quit This City. Champagne Drip, Stooki Sound and Smalltown DJs were among the artists who reimagined songs from the album’s track list, as well as a “bloghaus” rework of “Hold On” from him and Sleepy Tom themselves.
In the interim between the first and second leg of Grandtheft‘s “Number One” European Tour, perhaps he will follow up the series with more originals and remixes. In the meantime, you can find the full list of dates for the tour below.
