Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently welcomed a new baby boy via surrogate, named Wren Alexander Stephens. The family seems to be growing at a faster-than-average pace, considering that only five months ago Teigen gave birth to a baby girl, Esti.
Both parents appear happier than ever in new photos that Teigen shared on Instagram, along with her story about working with a surrogate:
In her explanation, Teigen notes that after losing her 2020 pregnancy, she wasn’t sure she’d be able to carry a child to term ever again. She and Legend decided to begin reaching out to surrogates.
However, Teigen told her husband that she wanted to “try to carry just one more time” via IVF. The end result was a success, and as Teigen carried baby Esti, the surrogate — named Alexandra — became pregnant with Wren. And that’s how the kid count in the Teigen/Legend household doubled in a matter of months.
So how many kids do they have total?
Per the post above, Teigen and Legend now have four children: infants Wren and Esti, as well as Luna (7) and Miles (5). Teigen’s post suggests that she’s content to stop there:
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children. As a little girl, 2 glow worms and 2 cabbage patch dolls were perpetually in my arms, helping me stir in my kitchen, watching Alf with me. We’d sleep together nightly, each getting the same amount of kisses as to note make the others jealous. … Just minutes before midnight on June 19th, I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a bit of chaos, but with strength and pure joy and love. … Our hearts, and our home, are officially full.”
A toast to the two handsome parents who are going to need a lot of babysitters in the coming years.
