2015’s been a big year for Jenaux so far. Despite being but a a blip on most music fans’ collective radar, the NYC-based DJ/producer has already succeeded in crafting his own personalized style of future bass, and his latest remix serves as further proof that he’s got the formula down.
Cash Cash’s “Devil” was already something of a head scratcher to begin with. The outfit usually puts out somewhat riskless jewelry store house, but embarked on a creative tangent that resulted in a trap anthem featuring the likes of Busta Rhymes and B.o.B. – and the strangest part was that it actually kind of worked.
Jenaux’s spin on “Devil,” on the other hand, stays in line with everything else he’s put out this year. The future bass influence is undeniable, but it doesn’t quite sound like anything else that’s out on the market. Seeing as how he released all of his original tracks long before he perfected this style, what we’d really like to see is a production outside the scope of remixes that exhibits more of these characteristics.
Or course, we’d also like to know what you think of the track, too, so give us your thoughts on Jenaux‘s remix of Cash Cash’s “Devil” in the comments section.
