Jimmy Eat World are back with their first new song since 2013’s Damage, and it comes in the form of single “Get Right.” The track is taken from the rock band’s forthcoming full-length, which is expected to see a release on October 21st.
“Get Right” packs a similar punch that listeners expect from Jimmy Eat World singles, featuring a foot-stomping chorus and addictive guitar riffs. Along with a lyric video for the song, the band is giving away a free download for it on their official website.
While no title for the upcoming album has been revealed just yet, retailers from overseas have seemingly listed the new record up for pre-order under the title Integrity Blues. The moniker would make sense, as it was also the name of a song that frontman Jim Adkins performed live during his solo tour last summer.
Jimmy Eat World’s new album, which will be the band’s ninth in total, was produced by former Nine Inch Nails bassist Justin Meldal-Johnson. This is the first time the band has worked with Meldal-Johnson, who is best known for crafting records such as M83’s Junk and Paramore’s Paramore.
