Following up on the release of “Genesis” last week, rising star k?d is back with another new single in the form of “Vindicta.” The producer’s latest serves as a sequel to his previous effort “Mortem,” which was released in the second half of last year.
Taking a few cues from REZZ, who is set to drop a collaboration with k?d at some point this year, the rising producer crafts a scorching industrial techno cut. “Vindicta” kicks off with a distorted bass sequence and ominous atmosphere, setting the pace for what’s to come. Driving four on the floor rhythms soon join the mix, as a cacophony of gritty synth parts are layered in as the song progresses.
K?d has been slated by a number of dance music publications as one of the most exciting up and comers of 2017, and “Vindicta” cements this status. Stepping aside from the gentler future bass material we’ve heard from him on previous efforts like “Discover” and “Genesis,” the mysterious producer offers up another side of his sound with a solid post-industrial romp.
