Hiya Pals! Happy Wednesday, or rather, happy Secret Invasion day, because we’ve got Skulls and Nick Fury on the brain — and rightfully so. The highly anticipated Marvel series made its Disney Plus debut this morning, and Disney/Marvel fans have been looking forward to this for quite some time.
One thing they weren’t looking forward to was the out-of-body feeling they got when some fans began seeing Skrulls in their everyday lives. That’s right; there truly are Skrulls walking among us. Can you believe it?
Disney fans also got a surprise today in the form of a teaser trailer for season four of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, which is a mouthful of a title, but with good reason. HSMTMTS is a mockumentary musical drama with all the requirements for being a must-watch with those who grew up with High School Musical and a younger generation who might consider us elderly.
In addition to Skrully spooks and musicals, it’s national selfie day, which means we’re also looking back at some of our favorite Disney selfies from those closest to the Mouse House. You know what time it is now! Time to grab your best Mickey t-shirt, your Disney-themed drink of choice, and cozy in because we’ve got the latest in the Disney realm to share with you right now.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series teases an emotional conclusion to an exciting run
“Folks, we’re getting the whole gang back together,” those eight words kick off a new teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth and final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and fans are getting emotional about the closing chapter in this exciting and musically-driven series.
The friends turned family are going out in style as they sing and dance through their final year together, and audiences are hoping for the return of a few special characters. The series and the HSM franchise as a whole have been a sweet spot for fans of Disney for nearly two decades now, and it feels weird to be at the finish line of another journey.
Tim Federle said the following to the Hollywood Reporter regarding the conclusion of the series and its purpose from the very beginning.
“This series was always about found family, and about making something you love with people you love. In other words, it was a tribute to theater kids. I can’t wait for our dedicated fan base to watch this world-class cast take a final bow.”
In addition to an exciting and emotional ride, the teaser also previews the welcome-back for High School Musicalumsi like Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, Bart Johnson, Kaycee Stroh, and Alyson Reed. Fans are holding out hope that we’ll see the likes of two of the most famous Wildcats before the series’ conclusion, and yes, we mean Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
Things are getting Skrull-y out there
With the premiere of Marvel’s Secret Invasion having taken place, fans are starting to look a little closer at their surroundings, wondering if a Skrull might be in their mix. Of course, it might seem easy enough to detect one, but as true Marvel fans know, they’re not always walking around in their bright green form.
What happens, however, if you do look out your window and spot a Skrull or see one on a walk to lunch on a break at work? First things first, you might want to grab your phone and snap a picture. That’s right; if you’ve seen a Skrull in your city or town, you’re not losing it; Marvel has apparently been sending Skrulls to various places to promote Secret Invasion, and we can’t think of a better marketing technique. In fact, we’re a bit unnerved by it.
For those who don’t know, Skrulls are extraterrestrial shapeshifters in the Marvel realm and have played an essential role in some of the latest MCU projects, specifically. In fact, as you can see in the video above, Samuel L. Jackson was recently asked if he was one himself, or rather — to prove to all of us that he isn’t.
He was able to provide adequate proof, but beware — you never know who…or what species you may be standing next to when you grab your coffee tomorrow.
