Following up on his Bassnectar collaboration “Level Up” from the Unlimited album, Seattle based producer LEViT∆TE is back with a new single today, offering up his latest trap workout on “Clique Mode pt. 1” featuring TezaTalks and Spac3man.
“Clique Mode pt. 1” opens with a dramatic series of piano chords, creating a somber intro before some powerful vocals and a church organ enter the mix. The tune takes a sudden turn as shrill synths and pitch shifted spoken word samples push the energy upward. LEViT∆TE then unleashes a barrage of hard hitting trap beats layered beneath wailing sirens, intense rapping and an ominous horn section. Finally, the song concludes with another run through the chord progression from the intro.
“Clique Mode pt. 1” delivers the goods with some rowdy trap action in the drops that is sure to satisfy fans of bass music, while the producer earns points for taking some interesting twists in the production, contrasting the indulgent drops with an ethereal opener and some varied vocal deliveries.
