Avengers: Endgame is pretty close to being the best Marvel movie of all time — but even so, nothing is perfect. Four years later, fans are still spotting new mistakes.
In a clip shared on Twitter celebrating the fourth anniversary since the film was released, one fan pointed out a peculiar blunder around the three-minute mark. How on Earth they spotted it in the first place, we can’t confirm. But now that we’ve seen it, we can’t unsee it. The editing error happens during the climax of the movie right in the middle of the battle with Thanos, but you’ll need eagle eyes to spot it yourself.
The clip appears to show a Wakandan running in the background; however, as they go behind Cap, they seem to magically teleport further away and behind some rubble.
It’s honestly a surprise that it took so long to spot the mistake considering the movie has been out for four years. But to be fair, there is so much going on in that scene, most normal people would be focusing on the awesome Captain America and Thor tag team in the foreground rather than the goings-on in the background. There’s just so much sensory stimulation, it makes sense that a small detail such as a character running in the background would be overlooked.
It’s quite a peculiar editing error and it makes you wonder: how many more mistakes like this are hidden throughout Endgame and other Marvel films?
In the end, it’s just a funny detail that doesn’t really affect the overall quality of the film. If it was that bad, it wouldn’t have taken four years to notice. It’s nothing when you compare it to the horrors of Thor: Love and Thunder and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Both movies, along with other Marvel projects, have become notorious for their shoddy editing and effects.
