It hasn’t even been a month since Michael Calfan released his latest “soul house” anthem, “Nobody Does It Better,” and he’s already went ahead and served up an official music video for the track. Right off the bat, I need to admit that I find it odd that the video is almost entirely centered around a little boy and girl stealing things around town, but I just decided not to question the French a long time ago.
The video opens to a little girl sitting with her family in a park, and follows her as she sneaks away to go on an adventure around the city with a little boy whom she meets at the playground. From there it’s a free-for-all; the young pair break into a gumball machine and shoplift from a convenience store before heading to a remote spot – where they literally steal an old man’s VW Bug and drive it across the countryside.
For a moment there, it looked like karma was going to pay them back for their mischief by stranding them in the middle of nowhere when their car breaks down – but nope, apparently where they slowed to a halt was no more than a relaxing stroll away from the park where the video started and everybody lives happily ever after.
I’m not all the way sure what the moral of the official music video for Michael Calfan‘s “Nobody Does It Better” is, but I can guarantee that when I have kids I’ll definitely show it to them plenty of times.
