Prepare for a brand new take on the iconic 2006 hit, “Stars are Blind” as Paris Hilton has rereleased the song with Grammy-winner, Kim Petras. The original version received high praise back in the day, so it’s interesting to see how this dynamic duo would make the track sound even better.
“Stars are Blind (Paris Version)” is not a jab towards Taylor Swift‘s song-naming convention, and is the name of the 2023 revamp of the singer’s iconic hit. The song featured some changes. One of them is in the second verse, which is now sung by Petras. Meanwhile, both singers performed the second chorus. The outro also received some additional lines that were performed by the Grammy-winning singer.
This 2023 collab is one of the few versions that brought life back to the near-2 decade classic. Back in 2022, Hilton released the solo version of “Stars are Blind (Paris Version)” as an Amazon Music exclusive. As for Petras, she once covered the 2006 hit back in 2020 for The Stonewall Gives Back Initiative.
When “Stars Are Blind” first came out in 2006, it peaked at 18th place on the US Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Dance Club Songs charts. Meanwhile, it managed to land itself in multiple Top 10 charts across multiple countries. The song’s music video was uploaded to YouTube back in 2017 and earned over 8.5 million views. Meanwhile, the song has been streamed over 47 million times to date on Spotify.
Hilton still has a lot of love for the song as she’s sung it multiple times in the past live, usually with different artists like Miley Cyrus, Sia, and Christina Aguilera. If you want to see this pop collab, the song is now available to stream on all music streaming platforms. Elsewhere, if you want to see Hilton sing live, she will be performing in the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on June 7 with Alex Chapman.
