Who said parenthood was ever easy? Just ask Amy Mitchell (Mila Kunis), a devoted wife and mother of two who begins to feel the toll when office politics and life at home begin to blur, pushing stress levels up the wazoo. Who ever said parenthood was easy? Just ask Amy Mitchell (Mila Kunis), a devoted wife and mother of two who begins to feel the toll when office politics and life at home begin to blur, pushing stress levels up the wazoo. In dire need of a break from it all, Mitchell takes solace in a pair of like-minded mothers – Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn – and together they throw caution to the wind in a bid to correct the ratio between work and play.

That is, in essence, the elevator pitch for Jon Lucas and Scott Moore’s (The Hangover, 21 and Over) maternal dramedy Bad Moms, a summer romp that will tee up a bitter rivalry between that aforementioned trio and the “Alpha Moms,” an opposing threesome of preened matriarchs played by Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith and Annie Mumolo.

Indeed, much of the green and red band trailers double down on that over-the-top clash of interests, as Kunis flips the bird at Christina Applegate’s pompous ring leader and decides to blaze a trail of her own, regardless of what people classify to be a good mother.

Lucas and Scott Moore wrote and directed the upcoming flick, lending Mila Kunis a chance to circle back to comedy following the monumental misfire that was Jupiter Ascending. But will Bad Moms ensure the actress doesn’t make it two summer duds on the trot? You can get the jump on that conundrum via the all-new trailers below.

“Amy Mitchell (Kunis) puts her family first, second, and third. But her man-child husband, high-maintenance kids and idiot boss are taking a toll. When the alpha moms (Applegate, Mumolo, and Smith) at her kids’ school push her too far, Amy finally snaps. Good Amy becomes Bad Amy really fast and she doesn’t go it alone. Teaming up with two other misfit moms (Hahn and Bell), Amy gets a jolt of freedom that shakes up her life and might even make her a better mom.”

Bad Moms is expected to drive a wedge between Kunis and her rival trio when Jon Lucas and Scott Moore’s bright and breezy comedy opens on July 29.
