Sam Feldt has put some pep in his step, and we’re not complaining one bit. The Dutch DJ/producer is famous for putting out the drowsy sort of deep house that’s dominated European airwaves in recent years, but his latest track, “Shadows Of Love,” sees an elevation in the energy of his signature sound.
Punchier kicks underscore the whole of the arrangement, which is otherwise driven by a prancing piano melody and vibrant synth lead. An ever-so-subtle guitar riff at the chorus also helps to frame Heidi Rojas’ iconic vocal in a way that gives the track a bit more mass appeal than the typical Sam Feldt song.
Seeing as how Feldt dropped “Shadows Of Love” at Ultra Music Festival this past weekend, the debut audience was undoubtedly receptive to his creative tweak. Still, we hope the creative tangent indicates a longer trend in his releases moving forward.
Sam Feldt uploaded “Shadows Of Love” to his SoundCloud account following its premiere, but subsequently took it down – likely for copyright reasons. Until an official teaser or release is posted, however, you can listen to the track in the YouTube embed above via CFS Sounds.
