Seven Lions released his newest EP Creation back in March, delivering a collection of seven genre stretching tracks that pushed the boundaries of his prior output. Many of the songs on Creation seemed to break away from EDM formula, seeing the producer experiment with a wider sense of musicality.
Now, he’s teamed up with Ricky Mears to drop a festival-minded remix for “Coming Home,” delivering a new version of the song that’s been tweaked to be more friendly to the dance crowds. While the original release of “Coming Home” played more like a straight indie-dance track, this version introduces some more power into the song without deviating too heavily from the EP version.
The new elements are largely centered in the drops, with spastic vocal chops, powerful synth chords and hard hitting drums added to the mix, bringing a heightened level of energy to “Coming Home.”
