A-Trak is well known for advocating on behalf of DJing and remixing culture, so it comes as no surprise that his latest track would pay homage to more classic styles. He's linked up with Zoofunktion on "Place On Earth," a track that embodies the vibe of club anthems of yesteryear while still showcasing enough current sound design elements to be relevant.

The lyrics may indeed be a subtle nod to Belinda Carlisle’s 1987 hit “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” and the upbeat, warm vocal melodies evoke much of the same feelings as David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s “When Love Takes Over” – but a distinct EDM drop endows a measure of festival appeal in the track. Trappy synth stabs overpower the rave piano of the verses, and chopped and screwed samples of the vocals are sprinkled throughout.
