Tegan and Sara have solidified themselves as one of the most consistent, most prolific groups in pop music over the past ten years, and their music video for “White Knuckles” is helping out their case even more.
The coolest thing to know going into this video is the realization that “White Knuckles” will serve as the seventh – yes, seventh – music video that Tegan and Sara have made in support of their latest album, Love You To Death, which was released earlier this summer. With three songs left on the record without a treatment, it’s a safe bet that they’ll be making videos for the whole thing, which is just a little bit insane.
“White Knuckles” is a black and white clip through its entirety, featuring Tegan and Sara traversing through a forest with an additional set of dancers. Directed by Minister Akins, it’s a video that matches the emotion of the song, which is all you can really ask for from a music video in the first place.
Love You To Death is the duo’s eighth overall album and became Tegan and Sara’s fourth consecutive top five charting record. They’ll be hitting the road this fall to promote it as well, touring from September 9th until November 16th.
