Nintendo has announced its way of avoiding fixed prices for digital Wii U games, by letting us all know that retailers will be able to sell download codes through their stores and marketplaces. As a result, sales and discounts can be implemented, meaning that gamers won’t need to worry about a lack of price reductions or anything of that sort. At least, we hope that will be the case.
Going further, the company’s President, Satoru Iwata, confirmed that all Wii U games will be sold through digital distribution at launch. This means that if you decide that going out to a store during inclement weather isn’t an interesting venture, you won’t have to worry about missing out on a triple A title. Then again, folks like me will still want to pick up a traditional physical copy.
