Grab your bags and passports because we’re following Kitty Song Covey to Korea to surprise her long-distance boyfriend, Dae, by applying and getting into the same college he attends. Netflix’s Top 10 website proves that we’re not the only ones that can’t get enough of Kitty’s story; in its first week on the streaming platform, the series has risen to number 2 across Netflix, only being beaten out by Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. XO, Kitty has been watched for over 72 million hours so far, and that number is guaranteed to grow by the day.

A relatable show for those still in their teenage years and who have aged out of this first love, college living, and feeling everything 100x more intensely stage of life, XO, Kitty is a series you won’t want to miss. As our female lead moves across the world to chase love, she ends up on a journey to the most magnificent love one could ever hope to imagine; the love you find with yourself if you give yourself the chance.

“I am admittedly entering new territory, but with the help of TikTok and a positive attitude, I’ll manage just fine.”

We’re not giving spoilers away here, but there’s something special about Kitty’s journey, far more profound than she imagined when she set off to surprise her boyfriend. In a way, she ended up giving herself the most meaningful surprise of all — the freedom to chase all of life’s joys, magic, and dreams — and to do so on her own terms.

You can watch XO, Kitty, and the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy streaming on Netflix now, and they’re the perfect series’ to enjoy as you begin your summer romance binge-a-thons.
