Grammy award winning producer Zedd made a splash in dance music last summer, releasing his sophomore album True Colors to widespread attention. It was promoted with an immersive marketing strategy and spawned several successful singles, including the pop hit “I Want You To Know” featuring Selena Gomez. To support the album, Zedd also kicked off a major tour backed by a seriously impressive stage production.
Now, to commemorate the release of True Colors, the Russian-German producer is the focus of a documentary detailing the inception of his most recent studio album. Slated for its world premiere on June 2 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, the True Colors doc will feature interviews from Zedd and his family to give fans an inside look into his creative process.
Directed by Alex Lieu and Susan Bonds, the True Colors documentary will be included in the Los Angeles Film Festival, with a special acoustic performance from Zedd set to take place after the screening. Tickets are available here, and the trailer for the film can be viewed above.
